(Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University (UK). He also studied Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA) from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Glasgow (UK). For years, he has dedicated his practice to providing accounting, auditing, advisory and tax services to businesses throughout Pakistan, UAE, UK and USA. Because Shahlan has worked with audit firms and in industry for more than 15 years, he excels in conducting internal, external and financial reporting, and providing tax compliance services to companies. Marzooq Lakhani is based in Houston, TX, USA. He began his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from Prairie View A&M University. During his professional career, he has set up and supported the construction of an Instrumentation production facility in Houston, where he excelled in managing a technical/ production and sales team. He has served as a Mechanical Project Engineer for over six years where he supported capital projects with a combined TIC of over $100MM. He has managed work as an Engineer Leader which included the supervision of project Front-End Loading (FEL), Detail Design, Construction, and Commissioning/ Start-up of equipment. As a Reliability Manager, he has managed large assets of the business for the world's biggest chemical company. He has introduced several new initiatives for equipment inventory systems and managed equipment strategies. He has supported asset management of critical equipment which has helped the company save millions of dollars. Marzooq has expertise in working as an end user managing projects with third party construction companies, equipment manufacturers, and EPC’s.
